Ironwork Journal

Privacy

This site gathers nothing about the people who read it. What follows describes the technology in use, not a promise about how data will be handled.

No Analytics

No tracking script of any kind is loaded. No page view is recorded against a reader, no identifier is assigned, and no behavioral profile exists to be sold, shared or lost.

No Forms or Accounts

Nothing on the site accepts input. There is no mechanism through which a reader could submit personal information even deliberately.

The Hosting Layer

Serving a page necessarily involves a server receiving a request. That request data belongs to the hosting provider, is held briefly for operational reasons, and never reaches the publication itself.

External Links

Outbound links appear throughout the guides. Once a reader follows one of those links they are on a site with its own practices, and nothing described here applies to it.

No Cookies

The site sets no cookies and writes nothing to browser storage. Because nothing is stored in the browser, there is no consent banner, and nothing to accept or decline.

Keeping This Accurate

This is a description of a build, so it is revised whenever the build is. A privacy page that has drifted from the site it describes is worse than none, so this one is kept in step.
